We are a Durban area (South Africa) based start-up that combines years of experience with a smart, tech-based approach in order to support small-scale farmers (and foresters) with e.g. climate-smart agriculture, logistics to market, e-commerce (cloud-based, app & call-center) platforms to connect the dots of agri-business value chains. We are supported by DalinYebo Trading and Development (Pty) Ltd, ImplyIT CC and Demi-Navire.
DalinYebo (founded in 2001) provides bioeconomy consulting and mentoring services that range from the development of the biomass supply to the conceptualisation and/or operation of biorefineries that produce and sell furfural (a biobased chemical), its many by-products, ethanol or butanol and energy.
ImplyIT was founded in 2005. Their headquarters are in Durban and have satellite offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. From their Durban office they maintain 100s of servers/client locations across the whole of South Africa, China, Australia and the UK. Demi-Navire is a black female owned consulting company (founded in 2014) providing Biomass.Market & Veggies.Trade with rural planning, spacial information solutions, project management and communications services.
Since 1998, we have been offering solutions to questions like the following:
What else can we make from a stick of sugarcane, besides sugar, molasses and steam?
Our principal research and business development focus has been on the provision of solutions that add value to lignocellulosic biomass (sugarcane bagasse, sunflower husks, oat hulls, corncobs, etc.). Our team is experienced in biomass production (farming), its handling, storage and processing. We are equally at home in a R&D centre for biomass processing as we are on a construction site building biorefineries. To complete the value chain, we offer a variety of services, incl. e.g. trading platforms for biomass or off-take agreements for furfural and its by-products. We help our clients with the diagnostics of existing or the development of new businesses (e.g. studies or business plan preparations) in the bioeconomy space.
Connecting-The-Dots™ from the Field to the Markets.

The Biomass.Market platform provides a local trading platform for agricultural residues like maize cobs.
